If you want to find the best hunting grounds, sometimes you have to travel a little bit out of your way. When that’s the case, an ATV is the perfect vehicle for getting you where you need to go. If you want to take your ATV to the next level, a few simple accessories will turn it into the ultimate hunting machine.

Below, we’ve collected our favorite ATV hunting accessories. Read on to learn more, and for all your ATV needs, stop by Destination Powersports. We’re located near Fort Myers and Cape Coral, Florida, in Punta Gorda. Stop by and see our full selection of ATVs, riding accessories, and gear.

Gun Boot/Scabbard

A gun boot or scabbard will keep your long gun safe and secure as you ride over even the roughest terrain. If you have a rifle with more expensive optics, a scabbard is a good way to make sure it doesn’t get knocked out of sight. It will also keep your gun safe from the elements so you won’t have to deal with the water or dirt and grime causing your gun to bind up.

Winch

When you’re riding through rough terrain, there’s always a chance you’ll get high centered, bottomed out, or stuck. A winch is the best and safest way to pull yourself out of this type of situation. Another use for a winch is hoisting the recently killed game up a hill, out of a ditch, or up from the mud if it fell in a spot that’s not ideal for processing it.

LED Lighting

LED lighting is lightweight, inexpensive, and effective. If you need to head out to the hunting grounds before the sun rises, LED lights will illuminate the way. If you get caught up out in the field, LEDs will help you get back home safe and sound. Plus, LED lighting doesn’t draw on the electrical system too much.

Cargo Rack

Whether hunting or doing many other tasks with your ATV, you’ll probably have a significant amount of gear to haul around. A cargo rack will give you a place to strap the larger pieces of equipment like hunting stands, rifles, and chairs. It will also give you a wide, stable platform to which you can strap your game.

Rope & Tie Downs

Bringing your game back home can be difficult if you don’t have anything to secure it to your ATV. It’s helpful to pack along some ropes and tie downs so you don’t lose your hard-earned prize going around a corner or over a hill. The old-school solution is using rope, but usually requires knowing a few good knots. If you don’t know knots or don’t want to learn some, use a couple ratchet straps.

Camo Cover

When it comes time to actually get set up in your hunting blind or stand, you’ll need to leave your ATV behind. Having a cover for your quad becomes extremely helpful. A camo cover will keep it hidden from the animals and anyone passing nearby. It will also help to keep dirt and precipitation off your rig if it starts to rain.

Hardside Gear Box

For the smaller pieces of gear, make sure you pick up a hardside gear box. This will keep all of your gear safe from anything that comes. Rain, snow, wind, mud, dirt, you name it, your gear will be protected.
